Michael Cera (Superbad, Juno) is playing his usual character this time named Nick Wisp. He's a likable eccentric loner with a depressing view of the world. His mother has a new truck driver boyfriend played by Zach Galifianakis (the Hangover) and his dad Steve Buscemi (Armageddon) lives with a 25 year old blonde and complains to him about child support payments.
The story begins when he grows to a trailer park with his mom and boyfriend for a week vacation and falls in love with a pretty neighbor girl in the trailer next door. Worried about having to go home and being separated they devise a plan for him to cause as much trouble as he can so he can be sent to live with his dad closer to her. To accomplish this he creates an alter ego named Francois Dillinger that is also played by Cera. Step by step he causes more trouble that keeps getting them put farther and farther away and her closer to her old boyfriend a 6 foot 2 pretty boy that is the opposite of wisp.
This is a very funny movie with an all star cast that also includes Justin Long, (Waiting), Ray Liotta (Goodfellas), Fred Williamson (Best in Show), Mary Kay Place ( The Big Chill) and M. Emmit Walsh (Harry and the Hendersons)
4 out of 5 from me.
